Vision
and Goals of ENC
During
the ENC confernce in December 2005 in Krakow, Poland,
40 communities from countries in Central and Eastern
Europe officially formed the "European Network
of Communities" and committed themselves to a
preliminary membership. Prior to this event, 10 years
of network building between communities on a national
and international level had been done, and the
experiences of those cooperations formed the basis
for a network on a truly European level.
The
vision and goals are presented in the following

ENC
Council Meeting in Vienna
The
community Umkehr zum Herrn (Return to the
Lord),
Vienna hosted the ENC council meeting from
29 June - 2 July, 2006. 25 participants represented 11
nations from across central and eastern Europe. A special
meeting of the members of the Executive Comitee took
place one day before the general gathering.
On the Agenda were among other subjects:
Possibilities for the development of the
different National Networks
Programme for the ENC for the coming
years
Practical aspects of financial support
An audience with Cardinal Christoph Schönborn was
one of the special highlights of this council
meeting.
The time was also used to get togeher with
the leadership team of "Umkehr zum Herrn"
for an evening of informal sharing and fellowship.

"Community Building Blocks"
ACTS
Assistance;
Coaching; Training; Seminars
 An
"apostolic team" under the leadership of Gavin
Farley, dedicated to support community building in
many countries of Central and Eastern Europe is
conducting aA programme called
"Community Building Blocks".
This is a series of six training
sessions, is being held for several communites. A report of the
